About the Counselor...

Karla Hutcherson, M.Ed., LPC-S

Karla Hutcherson received a Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 1997 and received her Bachelors Degree from Abilene Christian University.

Karla is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Texas. She works with adolescents and adults as a cognitive behavioral therapist and specializes in treating depression and anxiety as well as works with family and relationship issues, and stress and life changes. As a mental health provider over the the past 18 years, Karla has a variety of experiences including working extensively with adolescent patients struggling with depression and self-harm behaviors, school counseling for adolescents, community provider in private practice and foster care as well as services in the family court system. As an LPC Supervisor, Karla works to train and mentor LPC-Interns working toward their permanent license in the state of Texas.

Karla and her husband Bradley have been happily married since 1992 and are blessed to share a son and daughter. 

They are also proud dog parents to Missy (King Charles Cavalier Spaniel), and her sister, Daisy (Cavapoo).
